Finding Extraordinary Talent: Behind the Scenes of casting Covered California Commercials
Late last year, we had the incredible opportunity to cast the latest Covered California commercials for Maximize Video Productions. The project required our team at Aura Casting to scout some hard-to-find talent. The task at hand was nothing short of a challenge; we had to find some truly exceptional individuals and real families to bring these commercials to life. Join us as we take you behind the scenes and reveal the intricate details of this fun casting process.
Casting the Perfect Ensemble:
Our mission was clear: assemble a cast that not only possesses immense talent but also resonates with the diverse audience of Covered CA commercials. We were not casting in only one language, but SIX different languages. The talent had to fit perfectly within the different worlds that we were envisioning onscreen. After a thorough search, we triumphantly managed to cast 24 outstanding individuals who fit the bill. Each member of the ensemble brought their A-game, giving life to the vision that the creative team had in mind.
Discovering the Unusual:
To make these commercials even more remarkable, we undertook the challenge of finding unconventional talent. Apart from the talented individuals we cast, we were thrilled to find two adorable newborn babies, as well as a real family, to be part of these incredible spots. Their presence, authenticity, and undeniable charm added an extra touch of magic.
