Introducing Our New Social Media Series: Workshop Wednesday
What is one of the top requests we get from actors? More workshops.
Here at Aura Casting, we're passionate about helping actors succeed and grow in their craft. We understand the constant challenges and twists and turns of the industry, and we believe that the more knowledge and tools actors have, the better equipped they'll be to shine in auditions and on set.
While we can't host full length workshops that often, we've found a way to bring valuable insights to our actors weekly through our new series, Workshop Wednesday, hosted by our Casting Assistant, June Hauser.
Workshop Wednesday is a weekly series where June posts a one to three minute length reel on all of our socials covering a different topic related to acting from the casting perspective. She covers a wide range of topics from acting classes and why they are important to why background extras gigs are valuable to when you are first starting out in your career.
With Workshop Wednesdays, our goal is to provide accessible and actionable tips and tricks that empower actors and give them confidence at every stage of their career, whether they are first starting out or have been in the industry for a long time.
This week, June gave her favorite book recommendations on acting; Confessions of a Casting Director by Jen Rudin; How to Audition on Camera by Sharon Bialy; The Actors Life: A Survival Guide by Jenna Fischer. They are all wonderful reads and are worth checking out.
