Behind the Scenes of Casting a Shoe Model for a Print Campaign
Have you ever shopped for shoes online and thought…did they cast someone for this?
They probably did! Here at Aura Casting, we’re all about finding you great talent for your project. Our casting company will find you “Parts models” for projects where the product needs to shine, but still feel like it’s in a natural setting. You’ll see hand models advertising food, leg models advertising workout gear, and in this case, a model advertising footwear.
Rural Haze is a western inspired boots company that needed a shoe model for their latest products. New Rev Media approached us for this project, and we were so stoked to dive in.
So how did we go about casting a shoe model?
First step, research!
Our goal was to find a shoe model who embodied the essence of Rural Haze, and could make their specific products shine. So we gathered intel to take to experienced lifestyle models in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Second step, outreach!
We worked closely with talent agencies on this one, spreading the word to find the perfect person for the job. We presented our top selects based on look and experience, which gave the client plenty of options to choose between.
Third step, booking!
We always reach out to confirm availability and connect the client with the talent so they are ready to go for the shoot day. For parts models, this may include getting a manicure or pedicure.
And there you have it! Our team takes pride in our ability to cast a wide range of print work for pharmaceutical products, beauty products, tech products and more! We’ve cast everything from winery shoots to car campaigns, and are always thrilled to take on new print castings.
