Here at Aura Casting, we’re champions for actors.
We love helping actors book the part and we understand how much can go into booking a role.
One of the materials an actor may be asked to submit to a casting call is an acting resume. Keep reading below to learn how you can set your best foot forward with an effective acting resume.
Formatting.
You should try to keep your resume to one page in a clean and concise format. Using a professional and easy to read font such as Arial, Times New Roman or Garamond will achieve this sleek and professional look. Keep it organized by using headings and bullet points for easy reading.
Contact Information.
You should make it easy for casting to contact you, make sure to include your name, phone number and email address. If you have a website or relevant social media you can also include it in this section.
Visual Statistics
Helping casting visual you from your resume to who you are is a great addition to an acting resume. You can include height, hair color, weight and eye color.
Training
Listing relevant trainings, workshops and/or classes will show to casting the education and dedication you have put into your craft, showing you are capable of the role you’re applying for.
Special Skills
Things to include in your special skills section can include languages you speak, instruments you play, athletic skills and other relevant talents such as improv, screaming ect…
Keep your resume fresh by continuing to update it and making it unique to each job you apply for.
