Aura Casting Books Fitness Model in less than 24 hours!

Nicko Ly, an actor/model living the San Francisco Bay Area, and repped by 3 Model Management, recently booked a project with Poshmark, one of Aura Casting’s long-time clients. But this wasn’t any ‘ole photography shoot, this casting consisted of finding someone very specific. By that I mean the client wanted a male in the height range of 5’10 and 6’, have a medium build, live in the Bay Area, and be a Korean in their 20s. No biggie, right?
We know that typically commercial clients work directly with talent agencies when they are looking for specific looking models, but because they wanted the fit model to be a certain ethnicity, they came to Aura Casting, since we are a casting service that attempts to find just about anyone!
And not only that, but our client gave us less than 24 hours to find this person! So we had to rush, rush, rush! We posted on SF Casting, instagram, hit up agents directly, asked a friend if they knew a friend who might know someone else that fit the specs perfectly. It was a frenzy, but honestly, that’s where the fun and adrenaline live. 😈
Most of our castings give us around a week or two to find talent, so having less than a day was a stretch, but we were able to get the job done! The production company shot in San Francisco, and for this particular project no self tapes or auditions were needed - just current photos that resembled the actor/model. And frankly, with the speedy turnaround, I don’t think we would have even been able to collect virtual auditions, self tapes, or anything other than a simple package of photographs.
Even though this speedy casting was a bit stressful, what mattered most was that the client was satisfied. Call us crazy, but given the opportunity, Aura Casting would do it again in a heartbeat! Whenever you need to cast talent fast, give us a ring!
