How virtual casting is becoming the new norm

This past month, we checked another city off of our casting bucket list - Atlanta, GA! We were thrilled to cast a photoshoot for our pals at Mileshko. They gave us the opportunity to connect with the thriving entertainment community in Atlanta and gather a wide selection of talented actors.

When did virtual casting become a thing?

Due to the pandemic, the entertainment industry was forced to shift online. While many struggled to cope with this new approach, Aura Casting saw an opportunity. We launched with the goal of creating an effortless audition process that is cost effective and accessible to actors and directors alike.

How does virtual casting work?

Aura works closely with our producers partners to find the right talent for each project. When a producer knows exactly who they are looking for, we take that information and run with it! When the concept is open-ended, we love to get creative and offer up suggestions. Once we have finalized the roles for the project, we send out casting calls, self-tape auditions, and callbacks - 100% online! We utilize technology in our work, which allows a simple and affordable way to include more actors in the audition process and provide more talent options to our clients. It’s a win-win!

Where are you virtually casting now?

We are currently casting several commercials in San Francisco and a feature film in Austin, Texas. Help us complete our goal of checking off more states on our bucket list, we’re ready for it.
