Mastering Virtual Callbacks with Dania Denise

In our post-pandemic world, virtual callbacks are quickly becoming the norm in our industry. But why? One of the silver-linings of the pandemic is how easy it is to facilitate auditions virtually, andd people have really gravitated toward that! VCBs cost less money, and also provide a kind of convenience that wields the same results if not better than in-person auditions. Aura Casting, a virtual casting company, auditions talent via Zoom, and to help actors increase their chances of booking, we thought it was important to host a workshop to demonstrate best practices when auditioning virtually.

Dania Denise, a seasoned actor, model, producer, talent coach ran an hour long session with Aura actors. She discusses the impacts of our ever-changing, post-pandemic industry landscape and emphasizes the importance of “going with the flow". Just as actors have to do this in their performance, so-to does the actor need to show flexibility and competence when it comes to tech. We all know that technology is still evolving, and when the internet goes out, the audio glitches, the light dies suddenly, don’t worry!
